We first traveled to Moshi, Tanzania, to help start a sewing cooperative with a Tanzanian friend. We never intended to start a coffee business.

While we were there, we woke up each morning to the best coffee we had ever tasted. We came home talking about the coffee, the vibrant colors of the kitenge fabrics, and the warmth of the Tanzanian people. Before long, we found ourselves planning our next trip—and an idea began to take shape.

As we spent time with coffee farmers in the Kilimanjaro region, we learned about their craft, their challenges, and the care behind every harvest. We knew we wanted to find a way to share their coffee and support the farming families who grow it.

We are grateful for the farmers, families, and partners in Tanzania who make this coffee possible.

Asante Sana (Thank you very much).
